Legal FAQs / How It Works
Step 1: Submission and Retrieval Procedures
Our online legal transcription services start with submitting your audio files. Dictations can be recorded on a digital voice recorder, through our toll-free phone number, or through our free iPhone app, and are then uploaded via the internet onto our secured FTP server. Files can also be mailed to us or dropped off at our Denver, Colorado office (please call 720-287-3710 to coordinate drop-off).
Step 2: Transcription
Your audio files are assigned to a transcriptionist dedicated to handle specific online legal transcription accounts. The files are transcribed and can be put into any customized template you require, or put onto our standard legal template.
Step 3: Quality Assurance
Our Quality Assurance Editors proofread your transcribed report to make sure the correct formatting is in place and to check for any errors. This enables us to maintain an accuracy level of 99 percent and above at all times.
Step 4: Delivery of Reports
Completed reports are either uploaded back onto our secure online platform or emailed directly back to you for quick access, review and printing. We can also print, bind and mail (deliver) your documents if needed. Additional fees will be required for hard copy delivery, usually nothing more than postage and costs for paper and binding.
Step 5: Archival
Once a user is finished with a completed report, they can move it to our online legal transcription service archive system. The system is fault-tolerant with redundant backups, and is designed so authorized users can pull the original audio or completed reports from the archive at any time, for any reason.
